Ryan Eyre's hat-trick led the Sarnia Jr. Sting Major
Atom MD over the Oakridge Aero's 5-1 on Monday
December 5 in Oakridge.
After a scoreless first period Mat Waun got it going
for the Jr. Sting at the 2 minute mark of the second
when he got a piece of an Ian Bailey shot that
changed direction and fooled the Oakridge goal
tender. A minute later Ryan Eyre would score his
first of the game. Collin Zimmer was awarded an
assist on the play.
In
the third period Eyre got his second of the game
three minutes into the frame from Spencer Baillie.
With 8 minutes left in the period Oakridge would
spoil the shut-out for the hard working duo of
Stevie Schaefer and Cameron Stevens who shared
duties in net for Sarnia this game. Spencer Baillie
would add to the Jr. Sting total with seven minutes
left in the game from Kaz Gudelis and with a minute
and a half left in the contest Ryan Eyre would notch
his third goal of the game.
The
coach’s player of the game was actually the whole
line of Evan Trigatti, Spencer Baillie and Ryan Eyre
as Ryan was the beneficiary of Evan and Spencer's
hard work. The parent’s player of the game was Ryan
Eyre. |
