Forest, ON - The Lambton Shore Predators have made
it four straight and continue to play some of their
best hockey of the season as they push for a playoff
spot, earning a 6-2 victory over the LaSalle Vipers
Saturday night in Junior B hockey.
Corey
Pawley opened the scoring in the first period for
the Predators but the Vipers Ryan Speers would
respond two minutes later to knot the game at 1-1
after the first twenty minutes.
In the
second the Predators would come out and score four
goals including two on the power play. Kyle Brothers
got his first of the period and would get the helper
on Cody Trowell's goal. Kody Ryan would score 26
seconds later to give the Predators a 3-1 lead,
while Brothers would add his second goal on the
power play of the period to make it a 4-1 lead.
In the
third, Eric Noel would chip in a goal for the
Vipers, but Trowell would score his second of the
game to put Lambton Shores up by four goals, as they
cruise to the 6-2 victory.
Justin
Tugwell got the start for the Predators and made 22
saves for the victory. Lambton Shores out shot the
Vipers 30-23 in the game.
The
Predators are now just two points back of the final
playoff spot in the Western Conference and will take
on London on Wednesday followed by Chatham, the team
in front of them, on Saturday night.
