LSSAA sports continued into its third straight day
of competition after the exam break.
Girls Volleyball
In junior
girls volleyball St. Clair and St. Patrick's both
stayed in the playoff hunt tied with each other, as
the Colts defeated SCITS 3-0, while the Irish
defeated LCCVI 2-1. Both teams, as well as St.
Francois-Xavier are 8-5 on the season, but St.
Patrick's currently is the team out of the playoffs
due to the St. François and the Colts having more
points for.
In senior
girls volleyball, St. Clair also picked up a 3-0 on
SCITS, moving the Colts to 8-2 on the season, while
SCITS sits in fifth with a 2-7 record.
Boys Basketball
LCCVI
picked up their second in of the season in Midget
boys basketball with a 49-23 victory over North
Lambton. MacAlpine had 12 points for the Lancers
while Thomas had 11 points.
In junior
boys action St. Clair defeated St. Francois-Xavier
50-30. Joey Vanderwal and Gerald Maness scored nine
points each for the Colts, while D. Goudreault had
10 points for St. Francois.
St. Chris
continued their perfect season with a 45-34 victory
over Northern, while in senior action Northern
continued their perfect season with a 48-38 victory
over the Cyclones.
Boys Hockey
Northern
and St. Chris also battled in boys hockey in which
Northern pulled off the upset winning 5-2. St. Chris
sits in second with a 5-3 record, while the Vikings
have a 4-3 record. The two teams will meet again
next week on Wednesday for their semi-final match
up, while LCCVI will take on the defending champions
St. Clair Colts.
