Sudbury, ON - The Sarnia Sting dropped a 5-3 decision to the Sudbury Wolves Saturday night, as the Sting played their second of three Northern Ontario opponents in their road trip.

Sudbury got the scoring started in the first as Micahel Sgarbossa scored his 35th of the season. 45 seconds later, Josh McFadden would put the Wolves up by two with his 8th of the season, as Sudbury lead 2-0 after the first period.

In the second Alex Basso would cut the lead in half with a power play goal, but the Wolves would answer back in 43 seconds as Nicholas Baptiste would put Sudbury back in front by two.

Nail Yakupov, who returned after his two game suspension would score his 23rd of the season on the power play to again cut the lead down to one goal. The Wolves would respond on their own power play as Michael Kantor would restore the two goal lead as Sarnia trailed 4-2 after forty minutes.

In the third, Sudbury would go in front by three as Sgarbossa would score the second power play goal in a row. Brett Thompson would add another power play goal to cut the lead back to two, but that is as close as the Sting would get in the loss.

JP Anderson made 29 saves in the loss.

Sarnia will travel to Sault Ste. Marie on Sunday to finish off their Northern road trip before playing in Guelph and Saginaw the following weekend.
