Squires one game away from clinching series

Komoka, ON - The Petrolia Squires are one win away from winning their first round series against the Komoka Klassics after a 3-2 victory Saturday night put the Squires ahead three games to none.

Aaron Bran opened the scoring in the fist period with a power play to give the Squires a 1-0 lead. It would be the first off three points on the night for Brand who would get assists on both the next Squires goals.

Komoka would tie the game in the third period as Alex Avery would knot it 1-1. The Klassics would take the lead in the game as Andrew Carey would score.

In the final five minutes, Rob Vanwyseberghe would score a pair of goals to put the Squires back in front. It would also be his third point of the game, picking up an assist on the first goal.

Komoka would not be able to score, and would fall behind three games to none with the 3-2 loss.

Game four goes on Friday, February 17th in Petrolia.
