St. Thomas, ON - With two goals in under two minutes
in the third period the St. Thomas Stars defeated
the Sarnia Legionnaires 4-3 Sunday night in junior B
hockey action.
St. Thomas
opened the opening the scoring 1:21 into the first
period as Drew Collinson scored for St. Thomas.
Sarnia
would respond with two in the period as Anthony
Donati would get the tying goal and Jesse Drydak
would score the go ahead with 9 seconds remaining in
the period on the power play.
In the
second, St. Thomas would again open the a quick goal
as Brett Hope would tie the game at 2-2 with his
early goal. But the Legionnaires would still get out
of the period with the lead as Tyler Cicchini put
Sarnia back in front later in the period.
In the
third, St. Thomas would score twice in under two
minutes as Colin Mooney would tie the game at 3-3
and Braden Hellems would score the go ahead
goal. Sarnia would not be able to find the back of
the net, and the Stars would skate off to a 4-3
victory.

Washer made 24 saves in the loss.
Sarnia
next takes on Chatham on Thursday at home.
