Sarnia, ON - JP Anderson made 28 saves in a 5-0
shutout victory for the Sarnia Sting over the
Windsor Spitfires Friday night at the RBC Centre.
Dominic
Alberga had the only goal through the first two
periods, scoring in the first period and earning his
14th of the season for a Sarnia 1-0 lead.
The Sting
would score four in the third, starting with Reid
Boucher getting his 24th of the season just two
minutes into the period. Anthony DeAngelo would pick
up his fifth of the year for a Sarnia 3-0 lead.
Ryan
Spooner would score on the power play, while Justice
Dundas would pick up his first OHL goal with 1:28
left in the third period.
The
victory puts Sarnia two points in front of Owen
Sound as the Sting sit in 4th place in the Western
Conference. Sarnia will take on the Guelph Storm on
home ice Saturday night.
