Sarnia, ON - With four goals in the third period, the Sarnia Sting came from behind to defeat the Guelph Storm 5-4 Saturday night, winning their second in a row on the weekend.

Guelph had an early 2-0 lead in the first period as Zach Mitchell scored 1:46 into the first period for his 30th of the season, while Francis Menard put the Storm up by two six minutes later.

Reid Boucher would respond in the opening minute of the second period with a power play goal, but the Storm would answer back with their own power play goal as Cody McNaughton would replenish the two goal lead.

With Sarnia still down by two, Ryan Spooner would get his 27th of the season on the power play to once again cut the lead in half. Three minutes later, Ludvig Rensfeldt would tie the game with his 18th of the season. 41 seconds later Nail Yakupov would give Sarnia their first lead of the game, as Sarnia score three straight goals.

Jason Dickinson would tie the game midway through the third period on the power play, making it a 4-4 game. But with three seconds remaining in the period, Yakupov would get his second of the game and 30th of the season to give the Sting the 5-4 victory.

JP Anderson made 29 saves in the victory, earning his 24th win of the season.

Sarnia will finish off the schedule in February heading back up to Sault Ste. Marie for the second time this month to take on the Greyhounds on Wednesday.
