Sarnia, ON - There were three games in LSSAA
hockey Monday afternoon with the girls taking to the
ice at the RBC Centre and at The Shores Arena, while
the boy's had a single game scheduled at the Sarnia
Arena.
In girl's
hockey, Northern defeated North Lambton 5-2,
improving their record to 4-1-0 on the season while
the Eagles fall to 1-3-2. C. Caraher had a four
point game with three goals and an assist, while M.
Plug scored twice for the Vikings. Q. Mackenzie and
K. Campbell each had a goal for the Eagles in the
loss.
LCCVI kept
their perfect regular season going with a 2-1
victory over St. Chris. S. McPhail and J. Lupton had
a goal each for the Lancers while Janelle Labadie
had the lone goal for the Cyclones who fall to 2-2-1
on the season.
In boy's
action, St. Chris got a final minute goal from Ben
Morrison to get by the St. Clair Colts 6-5. After a
scoreless first period, the Cyclones scored four in
the second, as Joe DeSena, Christian Savo, Ben
Morrison and Jamie Vandenberg each scored for the
Cyclones. St. Clair would get two of their own, and
in the third would tie the game at 4-4.
Morrison
would put the Cyclones in front, but Kalen Hellinga
would score his third of the game a minute later to
tie the game at 5-5. But Morrison would add his
third of the game for the 6-5 victory, improving the
Cyclones to 5-1 on the season.
