LaSalle, ON - The Lambton Shores Predators started
the new year with a 4-3 loss to the LaSalle Vipers,
making it over a month since they last won their
last game.
A 5-4
victory against London back on November 30th was the
last time Lambton Shores came away with two points,
as six games in December and now the start of
January have driven a winless streak to seven games.
Kody Ryan
opened the scoring for the Predators to give them
the early first period lead, but a pair of goals by
Brad Carroll would put the Vipers back in front 2-1
at the end of the first period. The Predators were
outshot 24-7 in the period.
Kyle
Brothers would tie the game 33 seconds into the
second period, and it would be the first tie of the
period, as LaSalle would retake the lead as Matthew
Yantzi scored two minutes later. Nick Erb would tie
the game back up, sending it into the third 2-2.
In the
third Kyle Quick would put the Vipers back up midway
through the third period, and again would out shoot
the Predators 15-6. Lambton Shores would not be able
to find the equalizer, and trailed the Vipers 50-24
in shots.
Brandon
Campbell made 46 saves in the loss for the Predators
The
Predators return home on the weekend, welcoming
Sarnia on Friday, and St. Marys on Saturday.
