Sarnia, ON - The Sarnia Lady Sting Bantam BB team came away with a 1-1 tie to the London Devilettes on Monday, January 23rd in their third last game of the season.

Meghan Blythe opened the scoring in the first period, with Lauren Wilson picking up the assist on the goal, as the Lady Sting took a 1-0 lead out of the first period.

In the second, Sarnia got into penalty troubled which resulted in a 5-on-3 power play. On that advantage, London would capitalize and tie the game at 1-1.

The third period would be physical with both teams trading scoring opportunities, but neither team could break the shutout to pick up the two points.

Sarnia goalie Whitney Simpson picked up the tie, while Coach Owen Lockhart commented on the teams strong defensive game in support of their goalie who was under the weather heading into the match up.
