Niagara, ON - The Sarnia Sting went back into the
loss column Saturday night, as the Niagara IceDogs
doubled up the Sting 4-2.
Ryan
Strome had a goal and two assists for the IceDogs,
returning back to the team after being a part of
Canada's World Junior Hockey team.
Niagara
held the lead after the first period, as Alex
Friesen opened the scoring on the power play for his
14th of the season.
Ryan
Spooner would score his third goal as a member of
the Sting 1:04 into the second period on the power
play to tie the game at one, but three minutes later
Tom Kuhnhackl would score on the power play to
put the IceDogs back in front.
Strome
would get his 17th of the season for the two goal
Niagara lead before Anthony DeAngelo would cut back
into the lead with another Sarnia power play goal.
Niagara
would ice it in the third as Steven Shipley would
get the only goal in the period, with former Sting
Brett Ritchie picking up an assist.

Anderson allowed four goals on 36 shots against
Niagara, one night removed from is 30 save shutout
over the Erie Otters.
Niagara
had four players represent Team Canada at the World
Juniors including Strome, Freddie and Dougie
Hamilton and goalie Mark Visentin who made 35 saves
for the victory.
Sarnia
returns home on Sunday for an afternoon game against
the Plymouth Whalers.
