Tavistock, ON - The Petrolia Squires are on the ropes after a 2-1 overtime loss to the Tavistock Royals, putting the Squires one game away from elimination as the Royals now lead the series 3-1.

The Royals opened the scoring on the power play in the first period as Kevein Brenneman made it a 1-0 game after the first as the Squires could not respond.

Neither team could find the back of the net in the second period, but the Squires would get to the Royals early in the third, as James Edgar would knot the game at 1-1, in what would ultimately send the game into overtime.

In overtime, Andrew DeSch would score midway through the period for the Royals to extend their series lead, and give the Royals a 2-1 victory.

The next game will go in Tavistock where the Royals can close it out on home ice on March 7th.
