Sarnia, ON - After missing all of the regular
season due to injury, Alex Galchenyuk made his
return to the Sarnia Sting Wednesday night against
the Saginaw Spirit. Unfortunately, even with one of
the best NHL prospects back in the line up, the
Sting allowed seven goals in a 7-1 loss.
Brandon
Saad had the loan goal in the first period coming
short handed off a Sting power play.
Josh
Shalla would score a hat-trick with all three goals
coming in a row in the second period, starting 1:28
into the period and ending at 11:52 in the second to
give the Spirit a 4-0 lead.
Sarnia
would finally getting on the board in the third as
Brett Thompson scored on the power play, but the
Spirit would keep coming and put three more goals
passed JP Anderson.

Vadim
Khloptov would add his second of the year followed
by Terry Trafford and Vincent Trocheck with a power
play goal to round out the scoring for Saginaw.
JP
Anderson made 24 stops on 34 shots in the loss.
Galchenyuk
was a minus-3 on the night while his linemate Nail
Yakupov was out of the line up.
Sarnia
remains in fourth place in the Western Division, two
points up on Owen Sound. Sarnia will finish off
their season with two road games this weekend,
starting in London on Friday and in Plymouth on
Saturday to end their season.
