If you went to
any hockey game
over the last
week, more then
likely you
witnessed a
shootout. The
Sarnia Sting had
two shootouts
this week,
winning one
against Owen
Sound on
Wednesday, while
dropping another
to Oshawa.
Also on
Wednesday, if
you remember our
feature story,
the Sarnia
Legionnaires
beat LaSalle in
a shootout as
well. And even
the Petrolia
Squires won this
weekend in a
shootout. Our
local teams
keeping it
close. The local
fans surely
appreciate it.
Would like to
send a
congratulations
to the St. Clair
girls Senior
Basketball team,
who made it to
the finals of
OFSAA AA
Basketball. They
finished second
after losing to
St. Basil 43-33,
but a very
strong showing.
Sarniasports
will be covering
the LCCVI
Lancers against
the SCITS Blue
Bombers in Boys
LSSAA hockey
action from the
Sarnia Arena.
I'll be there
live, and you
can following
the action live
on twitter
@Sarniasports.
The Lancers are
currently on top
of the standings
in first with a
2-0-1 record,
while the Blue
Bombers are
0-1-0 on the
season. SCITS
has only played
one game due to
a make up game
needed against
St. Patrick's
from week one.
LCCVI is coming
off a 1-1 tie
with Northern in
the closest game
of the season.
SCITS is coming
off a 6-0 loss
to St.
Christopher's.
Mooretown and
Wallaceburg are
also in action
facing off
against each
other in Junior
C hockey.
Wallaceburg
current sits
first in the
North Division
with a 17-3-1
record, while
Mooretown is in
second in the
North with a
10-9-2 record.
The Flags could
use a win here
to start to
close the gap,
but they'll be
in tough against
the Lakers. Puck
drops in
Wallaceburg at
7:30
Also the
Alvinston Flyers
are on the road
in Wheatley.
Puck drop is
7:30 as well.
Lots of sports

week, as boys
basketball and
girls volleyball

your fix of
hockey in on
Monday. Remember
again to follow

@Sarniasports
as we begin to
post live
updates.
