The Lambton Junior Sting Minor PeeWee AAA picked up a win and a tie in recent league action.
On Nov. 6 the Sting were at home to take on the Hamilton Reps. Hamilton came ready to play in this game and would have the Sting caught up in their own zone for most of the 1st period. The Reps would tally 1 goal in the first period to take a 1 – 0 lead into the 2nd period. Lambton would gradually work their way back into the game and would be rewarded with a power play goal on a shot from the point by Joe Correia with assists going to Alec Trusler and Nolan Farr. The Sting would generate the better scoring chances in the 3rd period but the game would end in a 1 – 1 tie with Josh Bayne putting in another solid effort in goal.
On November 9, the Sting would travel to Chatham to take on the Chatham Kent Cyclones at Memorial Arena. The Sting would once again get off to a slow start in this game and Chatham would score the only goal in the opening period to take a 1 – 0 lead. Lambton would generate many chances to score before exploding for 7 unanswered goals for a convincing 7 – 1 final score. Scoring in this game was provided by Joey Ferrera and Joe Correia with 1 goal and 2 assists each, Lucas Knowles with 3 assists, Cameron Adam, Cameron Rombouts and Jake Vince each with 1 goal and 1 assist, Nolan Farr with 2 goals, Theo Crombeen with 2 assists and Alec Trusler and Gage Langford picking up single assists. Jacob Knowles would pick up the win in the net.
