Sarnia Express Women's Senior Ladies AA Hockey team have now won 6 games in a row. This past Sunday they took down the Waterloo Ravens 5-0. Goaltending has been top notch for the Express, as Kate Rawlings earned her second shutout in as many games. A first period scrum in front of the oppositions net resulted in Jenna Whitfield tucking one in past the Ravens netminder. Alicia MacDougall and Lacey Cote both assisted on the goal. Early in the second period Sarnia would extend their lead on a hard shot by Tiffany Daley. Nicky Futers would pick up the assist. Also in the second, Teresa Futers’ hard work would pay off as she would go in alone shorthanded and net a beauty. On to the third period, Nicky Futers would bring the Express up 4-0, scoring on a nice pass from Tiffany Daley.
Sarnia would finish with a 5-0 win, after Teresa Futers would score her second of the game. Sheila Meyskens assisted.
Sarnia is home on Sunday Nov. 20th for a 2:00 game at the Point Edward Arena, then off to London in the evening for an 8:30 game.
