Vikings square up against the Cyclones

The Northern
Vikings hosted the St. Christopher's
Cyclones in a meeting of teams with
identical 1-1 records in LSSAA Jr. Football
action.
Touchdown runs of 65 & 55 yards by Kobe
Lundy & Mitchell Smiley , augmented by a
touchback and 25-yard Mason Kett field goal,
staked the Vikes to a 16-0 lead at half.
A 20 yard TD pass from Lundy to Erich
Maxfield and additional lengthy rushing
scores by Lundy & Smiley put the team in
command of the game by a 34-0 score.
After St. Chris' first TD of the contest,
the two teams traded touchdowns on back to
back Kick off returns, with Ramone Bustillo
carrying the ball for Northern and Mason
Kett converting on the Vikings first extra
point of the day. Another Cyclone TD,
two-point conversion and field goal rounded
out the scoring for a 41- 25 final score.
Northern currently sits in second place and
will square off against SCITS Wed. Oct 19.
