The
Minor Midget team had a mixed result
weekend. After what seemed to be a
complete team let down on Friday
night taking a 7 - 1 loss in
Sun County the boys found a way to
bounce back against Kitchener to
earned a 6 - 4 win over the Jr.
Rangers on Saturday.
On
Saturday after the first period
Kitchener took a 2 - 1 lead.
Scoring for Lambton was Dennis Yan
from Riley Roberts. In the
second period the Jr Sting scored 3
unanswered goals with Jeffrey King
tying things up with :02 seconds off
the clock. Hunter Tyczynski and Adam
Craievich assisted on the goal.
Matteo Ciccarelli went on to score
back to back goals to give the Sting
the go ahead. Bradley Campbell
and Hunter Bryce assisted on the
first Ciccarelli goal and Adam
Craievich with Carter Allen on the
second. Lambton led 4 - 2
after two periods of play.
In the
third period the scoring went back
and forth with Lambton scoring first
by Adam Craievich from Carter Allen
and Matthew Kenney assisting and
Hunter Bryce scoring the second
third period goal assisted by Adam
Craievich and Matteo Ciccarelli.
"We are
continuing to grow as a team and
hopefully we will be able to hit
stride at the right time of the year
when it is the most important." said
Head Coach Dave Craievich. "The boys
will be back to hard work this week
to prepare for this upcoming
weekends games."
The
Minor Jr. Sting have back to back
home games this weekend as they take
on the Windsor Jr. Spitfires on
Friday Oct 21, game time 7:30pm and
the Waterloo Wolves on Saturday at
12:00pm. Both games will be
played at the RBC Main rink.
