The Lambton Junior Sting Minor PeeWee AAA were in action with 2 road games this past weekend, battling to a 1 – 1 tie in London and falling 3 – 2 to the Huron Perth Lakers.

On Friday night, the Sting found themselves in a low scoring, fast paced game with the London Jr. Knights with action flowing from end to end.  The Sting would find the scoreboard first in the second period as Cameron Adam would break free on a nice solo effort on a delayed penalty to give Lambton the 1 – 0 lead.  The lead would hold into the 3rd period when the Sting would get into penalty trouble, including a 5 – 3 disadvantage which was successfully killed on a hard working shift from Joe Ferrera, Alec Trusler and Tristan Haagsma.  The Sting would be called for another penalty with just over 2 minutes remaining and the Knights were finally able to bang home a loose puck to tie the game and the score would finish 1 – 1.  Josh Bayne was solid in the net for the Sting.

On Sunday afternoon, the Sting would travel to Goderich to take on the Huron Perth Lakers.  The Sting came out flat in this game and Huron Perth would would take a first period lead of 1 – 0.  Lambton continued with their laclustre play into the 2nd period and fortunately were able to keep the deficit to 1 – 0 with some solid work in the net by Jacob Knowles.  In the 3rd period the Sting were able to take advantage of a 5 – 3 power play with Jordan Hurtubise wristing a hard shot to the top corner, assisted by Josh Vale to tie the game at 1.  Shortly after Cameron Adam would find Dante Fuoco in the slot, who would snap home a hard wrist shot to give the Sting a 2 -1 edge.  Unfortunately the Sting would surrender 2 late goals and lose by a final score of 3 – 2.
