The Point Edward Atom celebrated their second win of the season after shutting out the Strathroy Rockets (Blue) with a final score of 8 - 0.  

Scoring began just 3 minutes into the game.  Jonathon King opened the scoring with an end to end skate with his team mates helping clear the path.  Daniel Luciani followed a short time after with the help of his line mates, including the help from Luke Crombeen with a big save that allowed the play to go back to the other end.  Shaun McDermott, assisted by Cole Whitworth and Daniel Luciani added the third goal and a 4th goal from Matthew Davis, assisted by Nicolas Robson and Jaxon Lucas and the final goal of the period was scored by Jonathon King with asssistance from Jared Henry and Jeff Horner to end the first period leading 5 - 0.

Scoring continued in the second with goals by Nicolas Robson, assisted by Matthew Davis and Rian Dinyer, then a 2nd goal from Matthew Davis, assisted by Jaxon Lucas and Jonathon King, this making the score 7-0 at the end of 2 periods and also giving Jonathon King 2 goals and 1 assist for the game.

In the final period at the midway mark  Jaxon Lucas scored the final goal assisted by Ethan Boucher and Hunter Terpstra making this the 2nd shutout win of the season with Luke Crombeen and Josh MacDonald again sharing the shutout.
