weekend,
coming
up with
a 2 – 2
tie
against
the
Kitchener
Rangers
and
falling
7 – 2 to
the
Waterloo
Wolves.
On
Saturday,
the
Sting
would
give up
the
first
goal of
the game
in the
first
period
and then
fall
behind
by 2
early in
the
second
period.
Lambton
would be
forced
to fight
back in
this
game and
they did
as Joey
Ferrera
would
narrow
the
margin
to 2 – 1
knocking
in a
loose
puck on
a goal
mouth
scramble
with
assists
going to
Dante
Fuoco
and
Jordan
Hurtubise.
In the 3rd
period
the
Sting
were
able to
take
advantage
of a 4
minute
power
play and
Josh
Vale
would
put in
the goal
to tie
the game
on
another
goal
mouth
scramble
with
assist
going to
Dante
Fuoco
and
Matthew
Torti.
The game
would
end in a
2 – 2
tie.
On
Sunday
morning,
the
Sting
would be
matched
up with
the
league
leading
Waterloo
Wolves
and fall
by a
final
score of
7 – 2.
Lambton
would be
assessed
an early
penalty
and the
Wolves
would
capitalize
for an
early 1
– 0
lead.
The
Sting
would
tie the
score on
a power
play
goal of
their
own as
Gage
Langford
pinched
in from
the
point
and
snapped
home a
high
wrist
shot
with
assists
going to
Joey
Ferrera
and Theo
Crombeen.
The game
fell
apart on
the
Sting in
the 2nd
period
as
Waterloo
would
score 4
goals to
take
control
of the
game.
Theo
Crombeen
would
score
the
other
Sting
goal on
a nice
passing
play
with
Nolan
Farr and
Joey
Ferrera
picking
up
assists.
