The Lambton Junior Sting Minor PeeWee AAA were in action with 2 more games on the road this past weekend, coming up with a 2 – 2 tie against the Kitchener Rangers and falling 7 – 2 to the Waterloo Wolves.

On Saturday, the Sting would give up the first goal of the game in the first period and then fall behind by 2 early in the second period.  Lambton would be forced to fight back in this game and they did as Joey Ferrera would narrow the margin to 2 – 1 knocking in a loose puck on a goal mouth scramble with assists going to Dante Fuoco and Jordan Hurtubise.  In the 3rd period the Sting were able to take advantage of a 4 minute power play and Josh Vale would put in the goal to tie the game on another goal mouth scramble with assist going to Dante Fuoco and Matthew Torti.  The game would end in a 2 – 2 tie.

On Sunday morning, the Sting would be matched up with the league leading Waterloo Wolves and fall by a final score of 7 – 2.  Lambton would be assessed an early penalty and the Wolves would capitalize for an early 1 – 0 lead.  The Sting would tie the score on a power play goal of their own as Gage Langford pinched in from the point and snapped home a high wrist shot with assists going to Joey Ferrera and Theo Crombeen.  The game fell apart on the Sting in the 2nd period as Waterloo would score 4 goals to take control of the game.  Theo Crombeen would score the other Sting goal on a nice passing play with Nolan Farr and Joey Ferrera picking up assists.
