Belle
River, ON - After starting the season 0-2, the
Mooretown Flags are winners of their last three,
which includes Friday nights 4-3 victory over Belle
River.
The Flags
got their offence moving quickly, as Josh Teschke
scored 1:55 into the first period to give Mooretown
the early lead. The Flags who score two more in the
opening half of the period, as Caden Fleming and
Mike Burns each had goals to put the Flags up 3-0.
Belle
River would cut the lead down to one with two goals
in the later half of the period. Richard Dunning and
Scott Chauvin scored for the Canadiens to round out
the first period scoring.
In the
second period the score would stay locked at 3-2
till Kurtis Glowa put the Flags back in front by two
in what would be the eventual game winner. Dylan
Impens would score once more for the Canadiens, but
with no scoring in the third, the Flags would skate
to the 4-3 win.
Andrew
Ganter got his fifth start of the season, earning
his third win with 32 saves on the night.
Mooretown
will take on Wallaceburg on Saturday.
The Flags
are also hosting a special home game in Sarnia at
the Sarnia Arena on Thursday October 6th, as the
Alvinston Flyers come to town in Sarnia showcase
game.
