Local NCAA qualifiers

Three local female athletes have qualified to compete at this weekend's NCAA Division 1 Indoor Track and Field Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas. 
 
Marie Louise Asselin (Northern Collegiate) will represent the University of West Virginia in two events, the 3000 metres and Distance Medley Relay.  Marie Louise recently ran a personal best of 9:14 in the 3000m.
 
Jillian Drouin (St. Patrick's HS) will compete for Syracuse University in the high jump.  Jillian jumped 1.82m this past weekend to qualify.  She also automatically qualified in the pentathlon but will not compete in this event at nationals.
 
Alyson Kohlmeier (St. Patrick's HS) will represent the University of Michigan in the 5000 metres.  Alyson qualified in her only effort at the event with a time of 16:16 to complete a full recovery from injury that keep her out of competition in 2007.
