Sting Make Roster Moves Following Day Three of Training Camp

13 Players Re-Assigned On Friday

Sarnia, ON – Sarnia Sting General Manager Dave MacQueen has announced that the club has re-assigned 13 players to their respective junior/midget clubs.

The team has also announced that due to an abundance of overage eligible players, forward Daniel Lombardi has gone home to await a trade to another OHL club.

“It was a tough decision to let Daniel go as he has been with the club for four years.  We have had several young players who have stepped up and with Daniel being an overage player it is a move we had to make.  We will do everything we can to find a team in the league for Daniel to move to.”

In addition to Lombardi the following 13 players were re-assigned to their hometown junior/midget clubs; Jordan Benton, Brendan Nicholson, Darren Young, Ashton Waters, Grant McLean, Kyle Dutra, Dean Klomp, Bowman Webster, Nelson Armstrong, Michael Santini, Jordan Glaswish, Sean Parker and JF Sylvestre.

On Saturday the remaining players will be divided into two teams and will compete in the annual Black and White game.  The Black and White game will take place at 4:00 pm at the SSEC.
