Stamkos
named the
February OHL
Player of
the Month

Stamkos was the OHL’s top scorer in February with 13 goals and nine assists for 22 points in 13 games. He enjoyed five multiple point games, including a six point effort (one goal, five assists) against the Saginaw Spirit on February 3 and a five point game (four goals, one assist) on February 8 against the Owen Sound Attack. Stamkos, who turned 18 on February 7, enjoyed a five-game point scoring streak in February that resulted in seven goals and 10 points. The Unionville, ON native is the top rated prospect for the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. He is seventh in the OHL scoring race with *52 goals and 42 assists for 94 points in 56 games.
