Tim Bacik is the Newest
Member of Sting Coaching
Staff

Sting General Manager
Alan Millar announced on
Thursday that the club
has hired Tim Bacik as
the team’s new Goalie
Coach.
Bacik previously worked
with the Windsor
Spitfires spending five
seasons (2000 – 2005) as
the club’s Assistant and
Goalie Coach beginning
with the 2000-2001
season. The highlight of
his tenure with the
Spitfires came in 2002
when the club reached
the Western Conference
Finals.
Prior to joining the
Spitfires Bacik worked
as an Assistant Coach
with the Chatham Maroons
for four seasons helping
guide the team to a run
of four league titles
and a Sutherland Cup
Championship in 1999.
A product of the
Blenheim Minor Hockey
system Tim was drafted
by the Sault Ste. Marie
Greyhounds in 1990 and
spent three seasons
(1991 – 1994) as a
goaltender in the OHL
playing with the
Greyhounds, the
Spitfires and the London
Knights.
Aside from his work
with various clubs Tim
owns and operates a
successful goalie
consulting business that
is currently in its 10th
year of operation.
Tim resides in Tecumseh
with his wife and
daughter.

Peterborough Petes in
exchange for a 4th round
pick in the 2008 OHL
Priority Selection.
