Sarnia Sting 3 vs Sault Ste Marie 2
The Sting came up with a big
win in the final minutes of the game after trailing 2
- 1 heading into the third. The Greyhounds
scored in the first period with just 1:06 off the start.
Mark Katic tied things up on the powerplay with Jamie Arniel
assisting at 8:09 in the second period. The Sault
regained the lead at 15:57 on a powerplay and the period
ended with the Greyhounds leading 2 - 1.
Jamie Arniel scored the tying
goal at 18:55 on the powerplay with Justin DiBenedetto and
Mark Katic assisting and with :31 seconds remaining in the
game Steve Ferry came up with the winning go to take the 3 -
2 lead. Justin DiBenedetto assisted on the game
winner.
Sarnia outshot the Greyhounds
by 38 - 29. Dan Spence was in net earning his 6th win with
the Sting.
The Sting now head to
Belleville on Saturday to take on the Bulls then head back
to Mississauga on Sunday for an afternoon game against the
St. Michael's Majors. |
