Sarnia Sting 3 vs Plymouth Whalers 4

The Whalers were leading 2 - 0 after the
first period of play. Jordan Hill scored the first
Sarnia goal in the second period only to be followed by 2
more Plymouth goals. Michael Neal scored Sarnia's
second goal with 5 seconds remaining in the period to end
the period with the Whalers leading 4 - 2.
At 1:17 in the third period Jamie Arniel closed the gap
scoring goal #3.
However the Whalers held on to take the 4 - 3 win over the
hometown team.
Sarnia outshot
the Whalers 33 - 28 and went 0 for 5 in powerplay
opportunities.
The Whalers went 1 for 2.
Dan Spence was in net for the first 2 periods and was
replaced by Shayne Campbell in the third.
The Sting are
back on the road on Saturday for a 7:30 pm start in Saginaw.
