Lots of activity happening
this week after the 7 - 2 win over the Sault Ste Marie
Greyhounds. Justin DiBenedetto had a career night on
Sunday when he scored five goals and added two assists for
seven points in the win over the Greyhounds.
After this win The Ontario Hockey League announced that
Justin DiBenedetto is the Boston Pizza OHL Player of the
Week for the week ending October 12 for recording five goals
and four assists for nine points in three games. He also
finished the week with a plus-3 plus-minus rating. |

On Wednesday Sarnia Sting
General Manager Alan Millar announced its Captain and
Alternate Captains.
The Captain is veteran forward Matt Martin. Martin a native
of Windsor, Ontario enters his third year in the league and
this will be his first season as Sting Captain.
Martin originally a free agent walk on with the club had a
career high 25-goals last season and was a 5th round pick of
the New York Islanders last June. The Alternate
Captains are Mark Katic, Steve Reese, Justin DiBenedetto,
Jordan Hill and Steve Ferry. |

The Sarnia Sting
capitalized on powerplays in this game scoring 4 out of 7.
Justin DiBenedetto continued his hot play with 2 goals and 2
assists giving him 12 points in his last 2 games. Recently
named Captain Matt Martin also had a big night with 2 goals
and 2 assists. Miroslav Preisinger,
Jordan Hill, Jamie Arniel and Steve Reese rounded out the
Sting scoring.
