It took a shoot out to decide the winner in this game
between Sarnia and Sudbury.
Sudbury scored the first goal on the powerplay at 5:38 and
then they went up 2 - 0 after scoring at 18:30.
In the second period Sarnia came back with a single goal on
the powerplay to narrow the lead to 2 - 1 after two periods
of play. Justin DiBenedetto scored for the Sting with
Matt Martin and Michael Neal assisting.
In the third both sides battled back and forth and Daniel
Lombardi evened the score at 15:58 assisted by Steve Reese
and Michael Neal. Regulation time ended with both
sides even at 2 each.

In overtime neither side could put an end
to the game that sent the game into a shootout to decide the outcome.
In shoot Sudbury scored the only goal to give them the win.
