Toronto, ON - The HDCO (Hockey Development Centre For Ontario) has released the Team Ontario roster that will compete in the 2009 World Under-17 Challenge (Dec. 29 – Jan. 4/09 – Alberni Valley, BC).

 

Among the players named to the final roster were Sting players Gregg Sutch and Nathan Chiarlitti.

 

Sutch the Sting’s 1st round pick (11th overall) in the 2008 OHL Priority Selection has 2 assists in 19 games this season.

 

Chiarlitti the Sting’s 5th round pick (99th overall) in 2008 has 1 goal in 11 games so far this season.  Chiarlitti returned to the Sting lineup last Friday after sitting out 8 games with an upper body injury.  Chiarlitti was named the OHL Scholastic Player of the Month for October.

 

The Sting were 1 of just 5 OHL teams with more then one player named to the roster
