Sting Fans cheered as Daniel
Lombardi scored the first
goal of the season to put
the Sting up 1 - 0. Steve
Reese and Sarnia Native
Jordan Hill assisted on the
goal.
Windsor went on and tied the
game late in the period on a
powerplay goal scored by
Greg Nemisz. The first
period ended both sides even
with 1 each. |
Early in
the second Windsor would take the lead
and never look back as they went up 2 -
1 on a powerplay goal by Austin Watson.
Late in the period Windsor added their
3rd goal with Andrew Yogan scoring.
Period ended with Sting trailing 3 - 1.

Miroslav Preisinger
A third
period powerplay goal widened the lead
for Windsor to 4 - 1 when Rob Kwiet
scored. Both sides went back and
forth and the Sting added their 2nd and
final goal with just over a minute
remaining in the game on a powerplay
goal with Miroslav Preisinger from
Bratislava, Slovakia scoring his first
OHL goal with Daniel Lombardi and Brent
Sullivan assisting.
Making his
OHL debut in net for the Sting was
Shayne Campbell who earned 3rd star
selection
making a total of 43 saves in the game.
