Sarnia Sting vs Saginaw Spirit

The Sarnia Sting losing streak continues after taking a 4 - 1 loss
against the Saginaw Spirit on Friday night at the SSEC. The Sting
ran into penalty troubles as the Spirit scored 3 of the 4 goals on the
powerplay.
The Spirit took the lead in the first period
with a single power play goal and in the second both sides went
scoreless. In the third the Spirit scored two more powerplay
goals. Sarnia's goal was scored by Jamie Arniel assisted by Jesse
Stoughton and Steve Ferry. In a desperate attempt to close the gap
the Sting pulled their goalie only to have the Spirit find the opening
for the final goal of the game.
Shots on net for Saginaw totaled 29 - Sarnia
total shots was 21.
Saginaw went 3 for 5 on the powerplay,
Sarnia went 0 for 7.
Shayne Campbell was in net for the Sting and Edward
Pasquale was the net minder for the Spirit.
The Sting are now 0 - 4 for the season as they take to
the road on Saturday for their 3rd game in 3
nights as they travel to Owen Sound.
