For the love of swimming!

Swimming is a total body workout for the outside and the inside. No matter the skill level or fitness level the health benefits are priceless.  Swimming benefits the cardiovascular system and increases lung capacity in particular because swimming improves the body's use of oxygen without overworking the heart. As the swimmer becomes fitter and is able to swim longer, the swimmer’s resting heart rate and respiratory rate will be reduced, making blood flow to the heart and lungs more efficient. On an average, a swimmer can burn between 350 to 450 calories per hour. It also helps shape the body providing a fitter and toned set of muscles and improves flexibility at a low risk of injury.

Sarnia Swimming

A non-profit sports organization with a mission to promote and perpetuate the art and sport of competitive swimming regardless of gender, age or physical abilities in the Sarnia-Lambton Community.

If a child can swim freestyle for one length of the pool consider giving
competitive swimming a try!

It is a sport that involves fun, strength, dedication, health, discipline and attainment of personal excellence. In short it is a sport of superior values.
