Totally Unfit Wins Second
Consecutive 15-13 Match
The week the second place
Cookie Monsters (3-1) got back on the winning track
defeating the Pylons (1-4) by a score of 15-9.
The Pylons attempted to confuse their opponents by
repeatedly switching from man to zone defense, however
the Cookie Monsters had stellar defense of their own,
propelling them to the victory.
In the absence of the
Aussie influence, Totally Unfit (2-3) surmounted the
insurmountable and rode their stars to a 15-13
victory over Hungate’s Mom (2-2). No fanny-pack first
aid kits required this week, despite some totally
awesome layouts by
Alex Holt and Corey Scott. Jeff Rathburn
and Chris McCloskey also fell. Jen Graham played hard
defence on her mark when she could find her. Some
stellar battle scars can be found on Karen Slater if you
look closely. Kevin Slater had an impressive three-touch
catch in the end zone; the first two touches being
inbounds. Michelle Snauwaert and Monique Ethier
were also thrilled with the win.
Winless Spread Condor (0-5)
did not have a good turnout in their game against Red
Army (2-2). They were forced to play down two players,
however they still remarkably kept the game close. The
game was called early at a score of 12-9
favouring Red Army due to injuries.
The
Megalomaniacs (3-1) were caught sleeping at the start of
their match versus the Ultimate Suspects (2-2). They
could only watch as the Suspects took the first four
points with quick counter attacks. The TSN turning
point came as the Suspects were on the offensive end
zone line down 10-11. An incomplete pass was thrown in
close and the Megalomaniacs were able to quickly score
the other way, they never looked back winning 15-11.
The Megalomaniacs’ April Brethauer and the Ultimate
Suspects’ Shae Stanbra put together strong games for
their respective teams. |
