Ultimate Suspects Win Marathon Match

The Pylons (1-3) put up a good fight but fell short to the Ultimate Suspects (1-2) in a marathon 17-15 match.  The hot and cold Suspects were down by 3 points at half, but were able to outlast the Pylons in a very long second half.

Winner of the “team with the most spirit” consolation prize three years in a row, Totally Unfit (1-3) came out fighting with a fast and furious first half.  They took the lead at half 8-4 due to a great team effort.  The clinical, committed Red Army (2-1) played a much better second half but couldn’t quite catch the groping green machine.  Totally Unfit won 15-13.

Ouch!!  In the most highly anticipated match of the season so far, the only remaining undefeated teams Port Huron Ultimate Club (4-0) dismantled the Cookie Monsters (3-0) by a score of 15-3.  The Cookie Monsters unfortunately only had 2 men and 4 women show for the match and had to play shorthanded throughout.  The game was the shortest to date, finishing before other games had reached half time.

The Megalomaniacs (2-1) matched up against winless Spread Condor (0-4) this week.  After Spread Condor’s captain voiced a lack of confidence in her team (perhaps reverse psychology), the team responded by jumping out with the first three points of the game.  Unfortunately their momentum did not last the duration of the game as they fell 15-8.
