tournament in Brampton. BUC Cares is a one-day
tournament of 5 on 5 play, with all entry money overages
going to charity. The charity CARE
(Creating Affordable Recreation for Everyone) is a
charity that is organised by the Brampton Parks and
Recreation department. It's goal is to allow
underprivileged kids the opportunity to play sports or
go to a Parks and Rec. run summer camp or take swimming
lessons etc. Twelve teams from around

one, but D-Tox was able to squeak out a 7-6
victory. Going 3 and 1 in the round robin
placed D-Tox in second in their six-team
division. |

In the semi-finals D-Tox
played a close match against the 3rd
seeded team from the opposite pool. D-Tox
won the match 8-6 to move onto the
semi-finals. Here they faced a high-energy
high school team from Toronto. This
talented team of youngsters proved to be too
much for D-Tox as they dropped the match
9-6. |
The only
two matched that D-Tox lost on the day were to the two
teams that faced off in the finals. Melissa Berry was
the most valuable player of the tournament for D-Tox. |
