The Cookie Monsters (1-0)
were able to take an easy 15-2 win over a depleted
Spread Condor team (0-1). Spread Condor were missing
their captain Melissa Berry and last year’s female MVP
Vanessa Gillis due to injuries.
Hungate’s Mom (0-1) found their winning touch this week
against the Pylons (0-1). Hungate’s Mom’s many rookies
were able to pull together as a team against the
somewhat chaotic Pylons defense in the 15-8 win.
Port Huron
Ultimate Club (1-0) beat Totally Unfit 15-8 with a
decisive second half. The game was close at half time,
as PHUC was up 8-7, but a halftime talk got the team
focused for the rest of the game. Jason Ganiatsas led
PHUC with 5 assists as well as 3 goals including a
Callahan.
Note: A
Callahan is when the defensive team player intercepts
the disc in the oppositions’ end zone for a point. |
