Sarnia Ultimate
Frisbee – Regular Season Week 3
Port
Huron Ultimate Club (2-0) extended their winning streak
to 3 games by defeating Spread Condor (0-2) 15-6.
Craig Kember played an excellent defensive game in the
losing cause, but Port Huron’s long bomb offence was too
much for the Spread Condor team.
The
Ultimate Suspects (1-0) did not show up for their game…
literally. Cookie Monsters (2-0) won by default
(recorded as 15-0) and played an inner-squad
scrimmage with the four members of the Ultimate Suspects
who showed up to the field.
Hungate’s
Mom (1-1) played an excellent team game in a hard fought
extra point 17-16 victory over the Megalomaniacs
(1-0). Hungate’s Mom was up by 4 points just after half
time, but then the Megalomaniacs tightened up
defensively. They were able to get within a point of
victory at 14-13, but Hungate’s Mom’s solid passes on
offence led them to the win. During one possession
Kyler Brouwer was able to grab the disc resting on top
of the head of Hungate’s Mom’s Diana Huynh in a fluke
play that led to a point.
Totally
Unfit (0-2) had a fast start against the Pylons (0-2)
and got out to an 8-3 lead at half time due to an all
around team effort especially from the girls. The
Pylons had a big second half moving the disc well
against the defensive zone of Totally Unfit. Former
Totally Unfit member and now Pylon Jordan Juschka led
his team using his 5-ft vertical jump. Totally Unfit
consolidated to win a hard fought and good spirited
game, final score 15-11. |
