On Thursday June 7th the Sarnia Ultimate Frisbee League opened their regular season play.  A very strong south wind played a big factor in the games, making up-wind points very difficult to score.

Red Army was able to win their opener after going winless in the pre-season.  They walked over the Pylons 15-1, who could get nothing going on offence into strong winds.

Port Huron Ultimate Club kept their momentum from a strong preseason to defeat Hungate’s Mom 15-4.

Cookie Monsters showed that they could do more than fit a record 15 cookies in their mouths and were able to deftly handle the disc with short passes and score some points into the wind, despite an effective zone defence by Totally Unfit. Totally Unfit was not able to score up-wind, which turned out to be the difference in a 15-9 win for the Cookie Monsters.

After falling behind 8-1 at half, Spread Condor were able to salvage five more points before falling to the Ultimate Suspects 15-6.  Superior conditioning of the cops helped them out!
