Sarnia Ultimate Frisbee – Preseason Week 2

Two winners from week 1 faced off with the Cookie Monster and the Port Huron Ultimate Club.  A point from defeat, the Cookie Monsters came back from a deficit of 7-14 to win 17-15.  In an amazing run, Jen Thomm caught the last 7 points for the Cookie Monsters.  Zeke Conlan also caught a remarkable 14 of Port Huron’s 15 points in the defeat.

The Megalomaniacs had a comeback of their own against Red Army.  Red Army played a stifling zone defense all game to go up 12-8.  The Megalomaniacs countered with their own zone helping them come back to win 15-13.

Hungate’s Mom edged Spread Condor 13 to 12, Jeff Hogervorst played excellent defence for Spread Condor chasing Hungate’s Mom’s long bomb passes all night.

Having come off of a 15-4 defeat last week, Totally Unfit showed some resilience downing the Ultimate Suspects 15-4. 

Both the Cookie Monsters and the Megalomaniacs have opened the season with two wins, to top the standings.
