St Patrick’s lost in overtime to Newmarket’s Sacred Heat Crusader’s 85 to 82.
 

Jeremy Langille’s heroic three point shoot with twenty seconds remaining carried St Patricks Irish into Overtime in hopes of a Tournament championship. In overtime the teams traded baskets back and forth with Sacred Heart coming out on top. Top scorers for Scared Heart was Laws 24 and Garvin 23 and for St Pats Nick Bucci 30 and Ian Wright 12. Coach Dave Howson said he was happy with his team’s efforts playing one of Ontario’s top Quad A school, which was a very good team.
 

Coach Howson believes his teams performance will help carry them in the remaining of the season and the playoffs. Scared Heart won their first two games against Sarnia’s St.Clair and Northern colligate by 20 points. The St. Patrick’s Irish won against L’Essor 81-57 and against London’s St.Thomas Aquinas 66-58.

 

 

Strathroy Saints won the consolation championship against Tecumseh L’Essor by a score of 60 to 50. Top scorers for Saints Desrosiers 20 Verkley 15 and for L’Essor Abello 20 Jones12.

Strathroy lost their first game of the tournament to Northern Vikings and then won against St.Clair Clots to go to the Consolation finals.

 

The St.Clair Colts won their final exhibition game against Ancaster High school 59-46.

The Northern Vikings lost their final game 84-56 against London St. Thomas Aquinas.
