The top
two teams the Northern Vikings (1)
and LCCVI Lancers (2) in the LSSAA
league went up against each other
Wednesday at the Clearwater Arena.
Northern took the win with a final
score of 4 - 1.
In the first period Joey Burt scored
an unassisted goal to put the Viking
up by 1 at the end of the first
period. Burt scored again in
the second period assisted by Alex
McFadden to widen their lead to 2 -
0 after two periods of play.
Early In the third the Lancers
narrowed the lead when they lit up
the scoreboard with their first goal
scored by Tyson Cooper from Jeff
Johnson and Brendan Willson.
The Vikings regained their 2 point
spread when Ryan Hunt scored
assisted by Dac Hiller and Zach
MacQueen. LCCVI pulled their
goalie in the attempt to climb back
only to have Colin Epps score into
the empty securing the game giving
the Vikings the win a final score of
4 - 1.
In net
for Northern was Chris Clark and
Eric Steinman went the distance for
the Lancers.
