Northern Vikings 2 vs LCCVI Lancers 1

The Northern
Vikings won their season opener over the LCCVI
Lancers. In this close game both sides
went scoreless in the first period. In the
second period Adam Marshall scored to put the
Vikings on the scoreboard. Assisting on the goal
was Paul Persichetti. The Vikings took the
2 - 0 lead with 5:32 left in the second period
on a goal by Zach MacQueen assisted by Adam
Marshall and Dac Hillier.
In the final period both sides battled back and
forth until 6:03 when the Lancers narrowed the
gap to 1. Dylan Fraser assisted by Jed
Goodacre scored for LCCVI. The game ended
with Northern holding onto the lead and taking
their first league win.
In net for the two teams were Chris Clark for
Northern and Travis McNally for LCCVI.
