LSSAA Girls Hockey Report

LCCVI  Lancers vs. St. Christopher’s

 The Lancer Girls hockey team travelled to the SSEC February 12^th to meet the St. Christopher Cyclones.  Kati Jacklin started out the scoring frenzy with an unassisted goal.  The next goal was scored by Jessica Weed assisted by Kendra Broad.  Abby Rainsberry then made it 3-0 on a pass from Kelsey Dobbin and Miranda McGuire.  Kendra Broad scored her first goal of the game assisted by Weed and Stacey Butler.  St. Chris then got one by Melissa Butler in the Lancer net.  Bryanna Freer got on the scoreboard next with a pass from Karly Dobbin and Kati Jacklin.  Stacey Butler scored her first goal of the game ending the first period with a score of 6-1.  Jessica Weed and Zoe Preston earned the assists on this one.

The second period scoring started with Jessica Weed passing the puck to Zoe Preston for her first goal.  Jasmine Rate then got on the scoreboard assisted by Miranda McGuire. 

Preston started out the scoring in the third period as well assisted by Stacey Butler.  Kendra Broad scored her second of the game also assisted by Butler.  Miranda McGuire took a pass from Jasmine Rate for the next goal and the final goal was scored by Stacey Butler.  Kati Jacklin assisted on this one.  St. Christopher’s’ scored their second goal in the third period for a final score of 12-2.    

The Lancers next home game will be a fight for 1^st place in league.  North Lambton comes to Greenwood Arena on Tuesday, February 19^th at 3:00pm.
