The
Junior Lancers defended their title in a
round robin tourney on Wed May 28. The
boys went 8-0 in the league play then
had a week off before the St. Georges
Rugby Tournament on May 15 in London.
The boys played very well and came out
of the 2 game round robin with 2 wins.
The semi final game was a close one but
the boys pulled through and played a
very disciplined team in the A division
final. They had their first loss of the
season in a very tight 8-0 game.
Going into the Lambton tournament the
boys had not played a game for almost 2
weeks. The boys received a bye so no
Northern game, then played St Clair to
a tie 0-0, St Christopher with a win
23-0 , and finally the SCITS Bombers to
a 21-10 victory to take the title.
The boys have now been invited to
participate in the Barbarian Cup in
Toronto next weekend June 8-9.
The Junior lancers ended up with a
13-1-1 for the season in league and
tournament play.
