After taking the top spot in the LSSAA standings going 5 - 0 in the season, SCITS travelled to Windsor to compete against Massey for the Boys High School SWOSSA Baseball Championship title and came home winning with a final score of 7 - 2.

SCITS was led by a very strong pitching performance by Rory Fell who pitched seven complete innings and added a 2 run homer in the top of the seventh.  Jeff Drexler led the team with 3 hits and David Wiles added 2 hits of his own.  The team played an excellent defensive game.  After the game Coach Barry Vale congratulated his team on winning with such teamwork and class.

The team will compete for the LSSAA title.  The title game had to be postponed and reschedule for Monday June 1.  Game time 3:00 pm. Because SCITS defeated Windsor, the winner from this win will move on to OFSAA to compete in the Western Region Qualifying round that will take place in Hamilton.  The top 2 teams in the Western and Eastern Divisions will go on to the final round that will be played in Toronto on June 9 - 10.
