LCCVI Lancers  vs Northern Vikings

The two top teams went head to head and it was the Lancers that came out on top with a 4 - 2 win over the Northern Vikings. 

Northern took the lead in the first period with Alistair Brown scoring assisted by Eric Belanger.  LCCVI answered back with 4 goals before the first period ended to take the 4 - 1 lead heading into the second.  Nick Newman scored the first two Lancer goals with Travis Whitely assisting on the first and Greg Charlton assisting on the second.  Connor Thompson scored a powerplay goal assisted by Greg Babcock and Dylan Lightfoot and with just 1 second remaining on the clock Duncan MacSorley scored unassisted to end the first period.

In the second period Northern narrowed the lead whey Tyler Wilson scored assisted by Eric Belanger.  Action continued with the score remaining 3 - 2 heading into the third.

Action went back and forth and with just under 5:00 minutes left in the game Travis Whitely scored for the Lancers to widen their lead to 4 - 2.  Trevor Duncan and Nick Newman assisted.  The Lancers would hold on to the end to take the 4 - 2 and to take the top spot in the standings.  In net for the win was Reid Rankin.
