SENIOR GIRLS SOCCER

St. Christoper Cyclones and the St. Patrick's Fighting Irish senior girls soccer game ended in a  1 - 1 tie.

This was an important game as St. Christopher needed a win or tie to move past SCITS in the standings race. With the tie the Cyclones took second spot with 4 wins 1 loss and 1 tie for 13 points.  SCITS ended in third with 4 wins 2 losses for 12 points.  Northern was the league leader going undefeated with 6 wins.  LCCVI took fourth spot going 3 and 3 for the season with a total of 9 points.

The semi finals is set for Tuesday May 18 with Northern taking on LCCVI at Nothern at 3:30 pm.  The second semi final game will be St. Christopher's and SCITS meeting at St. Christophers school for a game start at 5:00 pm.

SENIOR BOYS SOCCER

This was another standings race for the top two spots as both Northern and St. Clair were tied.  Northern came out on top with a 4 - 2 win over St. Clair to earn the #1 spot in the standings race.  Colin Epps scored 2 goals in the win with Danny Stewart and Brian Kaija netting singles.  Denver Spearman and Mat Ward each scored singles for St. Clair.

Both Northern and St. Clair are tied in points race.   Northern went 5 and 1 with a total of 18 goals for and 6 goals against.  St. Clair also went 5 - 1 with a total of 16 goals for and 6 goals against.

However, the competition isn't over as there is one game remaining in the league schedule that could possibly change the standings order.  All eyes will be on today's game as St. Christopher will take on St. Patrick's.  St. Christopher is one game back with a total of 4 wins and 1 loss.  A win will put them in a three way tie in points and a possible takeover of first place.  A loss will put them in third.  This game is being played at Germain at 3:30 pm.
